Very trueI wouldn't let Halfords fit furry dice to my van, never mind actually go anywhere near it with a spanner.
hava you had a very bad experience with their servicing?I wouldn't let Halfords fit furry dice to my van, never mind actually go anywhere near it with a spanner.
Not personally, because a 2.6 'poor' average average on Trustpilot tells me all I need to know.hava you had a very bad experience with their servicing?

,infact, i do all my servicing on all my vehicles.
i also dont believe a word the bbc say and print either.
i wonder how the OP found his servicing at halfords today?
errr ,in believing everything that you read on the internet?I definitely dont believe the BBC and refuse to use any of their services, but not sure how that fits in here...?
Talking of which can anyone with access to a VW workshop manual confirm the torque setting for the oil drain plug on a 2023 T6.1 DMZA engine please? I think it’s 30Nm but haven’t yet found anything online to confirm this.best way , is to equip your workshop with tools, ramps , jacks, nut spinners ,impacts, sockets etc.
gain knowledge and crack on.
and simply do it yourself , knowing you really are doing a better job than the fast fits.

before you know it,drop links, ball joints and brake pads are childs play, pass me the spring compressors im doing a top mount change, then onto wheel bearings and dare i say clutch swaps.
i do pay the tyre centres to swap out my tyres tho, that job just isnt worth investing in a tyre balancing machine for my use.
and they never pay anyone for false reviews lol
I've just put 8.5 litres into a 3 litre straight 6 bmw twin turbo is have access to.Talking of which can anyone with access to a VW workshop manual confirm the torque setting for the oil drain plug on a 2023 T6.1 DMZA engine please? Yeah but that was OK when there wasn't a huge queue at A+E!Spring compressors are a luxury.
When I was a poor young student I broke a rear spring of a my old Renault 18. It is more or less the size of a T32 one as I remember. I didn't knew about spring compressors so I just wrapped the links with the next in 5 or 6 places with thick iron wire, then tensioned it with a spanner. Once in, I just started to cut the wrappings.
My in law, that was a decent car body mechanic, was looking at me and laughing. It belive they were betting on the outcome inside the workshop...
Well that R18 made another 100K before I sold it to a guy from North Africa. It is probably still around.
Once you learn that way, no forum no youtube, you get it for-ever.
Google actually isn’t anyone’s friend in this case because the answer for definitive torque figures for VW Transporter engines vary widely to the extent that it would be taking pot luck which I won’t do. My ADHD makes me need to know the exact tightness. I’ve been servicing cars for too long.I've just put 8.5 litres into a 3 litre straight 6 bmw twin turbo is have access to.
That was 25nm .
Steel bolt into an alloy sump.
30 isn't gonna strip threads or come loose .Google is your friend , but that sounds pretty close .
Just don't swing off the torque wrench , ape style![]()
Very many thanks for confirming that @manfrotto.From my Workshop manual...
