Oil is going up !

We have bitten the bullet and ordered 500 litres at 74.9ppl, which undercuts our usual supplier by 15ppl. Not happy but it could have been a lot worse. That should see us through to October.....

That's shocking !
I'm half expecting my supplier to cancel at 74.99ppl and requote

Just ordered fuel for tomorrow, it's costing us £1.69 for premium diesel, we have to make a profit somehow (£1.75), so I'm dreading the comments in the morning

My local garage has just raised diesel to £1.60 a litre. Still waiting for my heating oil order to be fulfilled

Blimey. If fuel goes up much further itll be cheaper to buy a used car with a full tank and scrap it when it's empty than it would be to go to a petrol station to fill up!

It was nudging £2 a few years back. I can't remember the reason tho'. I do remember just cutting back on unnecessary journeys and how much quieter the roads were.

Was that during the refinery blockades?

Home Heating Oil Prices over here in NI are rising daily I assume because of supply and demand. Also a standard delivery yesterday was typically 5 days now expected 27 March. A fast delivery with additional £10 charge was next day and now is showing 5 days for some retailers. I've turned home heating off now, the underfloor heating will be getting turned down on the QT 1 degrees at a time also!

It's a complete rip off.

I dipped my tank the other day and reckon I have 15% left of 1250 lite capacity.

But, its logs from now onwards until it comes down. Seriously needs some sort of regulation. It seem BoilerJuice and Homefuels can just refund payments and sell at a higher price at their whim. But it doesn't cut with me. I'll take them to a small claims court if I need to

I take it they cancelled your order? :(

So the garage forecourts are a rip off - upping costs for fuel they bought days and weeks ago.
Fuel oil is up to the same price gouging.
And despite the fact the UK already pays the highest price in Europe for gas I assume that will be going up too - especially as we can’t store much anymore.

Let’s hope this madness ends soon.

Still waiting for my delivery @74p/ltr ordered last Monday….had a text message today saying delivery would be 02/11/2026 wtf!!!
Seems they’ve now stopped taking calls…..I probably need to raise a ticket!! :waving:

We have an independent fuel station; we do not have the capacity to buy fuel weeks in advance. We usually have 2 deliveries a week. Back end of last week, we had to pay £1.69 PL for diesel supreme. We had booked a delivery for tomorrow and got the price to us this morning, not retail, £2.05 PL.
We have cancelled the delivery! Don't know what to do?
