Hi, my clutch peddle dropped to the floor turned out to be a leak from the part in the gearbox, so while the gearbox was out a new clutch and dmf was fitted. when i picked the van up i heard a rumbing type noise it was faint and I thought it was possibly its normal noise as i had been using another vehicle but its getting slightly louder now and it sounds like worn wheel bearings but the noise is around 40mph to 50mph ish and it can be quieter at times. Mine is a 4motion on 88,000miles so i dont think the diff or prop should be failing now so im wonder can they actually fail now and is it a coincidence since the clutch change or have they been abit heavy handed with it, I dont fancy taking it back to the same garage to find they have wrecked something only to tell me its wear and tear. VW do all the servicing since new (2016) side of things but I decided to let a local garage who do all my other work do the clutch.
If its wear and tear im fine with that but im not happy paying for something that could have been avoided, just after some guidence or experience before i hand it back to them really or do i take it elsewhere?
