Clutch makes popping sound when engaging for the first time a day, any advice

Hello,

I recently bought an already converted camper, its a 2017, on 70k miles. On the first start of the day when I first engage the clutch (only attenpted whilst stayionary so far) i get a intermittent but obvious popping noise (is the best way i cam describe it). After a few seconds it goes away and doesnt happen again for the rest of the day.

Im thinking maybe the CRB is getting sticky but im really no expert. Anyone else experienced this and any advice before i take it to VW and they just tell me thatll be £1500 for a new clutch ?

I don't have the expertise to help diagnose, but those that do might appreciate you posting a recording of the popping sound.
