My Reflex Silver Project

As the end of 2025 draws in, i decided to finally get better tyres. When I bought these LV-2 wheels, they came fitted with the uniroyal rainsport 5 tyres which were perfect.....until I fitted the coilovers!

After long chats with various folk on Instagram, I went for the following spec

Old Spec

275/40/20 on the rear and 245/45/20 on front

New Spec

255/35/20 on the rear and 235/35/20 on front

Also went for new centre caps and 4 wheel alignment as it definitely needed it!

So you cracked the rim with 11cm sidewall and has decided now to go with 8cm and lower load rating?

But tbh - looks better ;)

Have you noticed a difference in height since changing the tyres. My size is what you did have, often think about changing to the new size you have. But at the moment i can go over speed bumps ok without splitter hitting but not up a curb, which is fine... and i do go fishing quite a lot so tracks etc.
I have looked on tyre calculator, says about an inch difference?

Looks better now though mate and the rear lights, want to change mine to clear red too.... for the same reasons as yourself. Theyre not too bad once theyre on, but when parked up they are black.

It's 10mm difference if you calculate it. I have to park on the flat part of my drive now but can get over speed humps easy. Think mines 100mm lowered

Yeah this was my point 🫤if they were to just have a percentage of those back then it could get expensive .

Had a bit of spare time today to tick some jobs off.

New splitter ordered off santa, as the old one took a beating in Great Yarmouth.

Driveway might be a problem 😬

Also while the bumper was off, I decided to address the terrible grills from vanstyle. Literally had to screw them from the back. I'll never buy anything from vanstyle again!

Thanks bud. I have enjoyed doing it. But, mrs sort of makes sense when she says "no more". I spend money like it's free, need to be careful......

Or just ignore her, get air ride and a pop top

I went to Camper Mart last weekend, picked up a few bits.

Another new gear knob top, new door pins and dust caps.

I also spotted a van there with a great heater outlet on the diesel heater. Purchased and fitted.

I might have to get a set of the door pins.
Be careful with the valve caps - if they’re not meant for rubber and brass valves, they might seize themselves onto the valve thread

They're from exe.ude, really well made. Yeah I've covered the insides in vaseline 🤣
