Midge Netting For Sca Roof

ok our SCA roof is brilliant but midges can get through mesh in Windows. Just had a week up in Sutherland and they did come through. Sprayed mesh with smidge repelant which worked for a while but would wake up in morning surrounded by midges, too hot to sleep with Windows zipped up. Any company's do replacement mesh or any DIY alternative.

Yes that’s what I do, works fine. The tiny Scottish midgie laughs at the standard mosquito size mesh, they can get through four abreast

Just got some tent door mesh from an old tent so will cut that up to Velcro on.

I've just been to Scotland for a few days and didn't seem to have an issue with them getting through the mesh. Sometimes the midges get in when the doors are opened. I have an SCA roof as well. Although I did get bitten when I got out the van.

On ours the very top slit vent at the front has a lot smaller mesh size than the side and front window mesh. The mesh on the side and front windows does definitely allow midges to get through.

Just got some tent door mesh from an old tent so will cut that up to Velcro on.

Did you fix velcro tape onto outside of canvas?
