MFSW will the airbag fit??

Morning folks,

I bought this steering wheel on a whim (it was cheap!) thinking my t6 airbag would fit due to it looking the same shape. A bit more digging suggests otherwise! Can anyone advise if it will fit by looking at it? The wheels from a Polo and hasn't arrived yet so I can't check just yet...

In a word no, I'm afraid. You'd need one with two hooks as in the picture.Screenshot_20210206-110207_eBay.jpg
 
If you don't have a MFW at present the one you have bought does at least have the correct buttons which will swap over to a wheel with the hooks, as these usually don't have the correct buttons for our vans, good old VW eh!
 
Would it be possible to add the buttons from the whhel you have bought to your existing wheel? If so you could send it off to be trimmed in leather to your liking?

Unfortunately not, currently I've got the nasty Trendline plastic wheel. I think I'll just put the wheel back on eBay or if there's a market for it I may remove the switches and just sell them as they match the T6 wheel?
 
I've never seen a trend line wheel in the flesh is it molded as one piece with no way to separate it?

Pretty certain that there will be someone on here who will have the part number you need, maybe @Pauly can help you out?
 
Get an airbag to match off flea bay .. follow all the threads on forum for MFSW fit .. Bonne Chance !

If you can wait I will take mine off and let you know what the code is!
 
Think that'll fit the wheel, as to whether it'll wire up to the van is another thing.
 
Doesn’t look like see attached photo of rear my airbag with NEW Loom for MFSW controls swapped from Trendline plastic wheel onto wheel like you have ordered .. note the 2 airbag located spring loaded retainers above the springs 1612905452583.jpeg

Looks like that's the same wheel I fitted to mine
It's from a polo 6c, you can see the same fittings without the airbag in place
I bought the correct airbag for the wheel and it was plug & play
Got it re trimmed and sold my original wheel to recoup most of the cost
