If you only need to use the solar when on site look at using semi flexi ones in a hinged arrangement, with one folding on top of the other until you pitch up and then unfold them. I reckon you might achieve 600 watts by using 4 x 150 watt. Use a victron 75/50 controller.

Thanks I like that idea . Are you talking about putting the hinged arrangement on the pop up roof . I did have my eye in the ablemail . And British made do you have website travelvolts

Can’t see you getting 600W off 600W of panels in Scotland, unless it’s midsummers day in the middle of a heatwave and you’re on an incline facing south. Surely 70-80% of that is more likely to be a realistic maximum?

Not a chance! You would need something in the order of 35 square metres to accommodate that.

doesnt look like ill get more than 1 150w semi flex solar panel sizes are prohibitive 1389/673 mm , pop top measures 2.5mtr 1.2mtr , shame , ill need to keep looking

The Ablemail is the better option. Apart from the obvious, 50% more output, you are not paying for the solar input that you won't be using. I really like the Ablemail chargers, they hold max output longer than most of the competition.

You could fit two sideways. There will be slight overhang but this was never going to be an elegant job. Function over form!
