Leisure Battery Setup

Hi,

I picked my T6 up last weekend and eager to start converting it. Slowly getting my head around what I need for the leisure battery/12v/230v

I’m thinking of the following:

16mm2 from van battery to C-tek 250se
Agm 110Ah leisure battery drivers seat
10mm2 over to a Sargent EC160 rear of van

Then from the Sargent to 230v sockets and 12v lighting etc

Is that an overly expensive setup? I think mainly I’m after neatness of not having a seperate consumer unit for 230v, fuse box for 12v and control panel... I won’t be using solar panels at the moment (maybe in future?)

Cheers

Welcome to the forum,

Something to consider is using a lithium battery. Many pros over AGM, such as charges faster, a 100ah battery lets you use 100ah (AGM only let you use 50ah before being classed as dead). AGMs will also need to be replaced much more often than a lithium... I roughly doubled my anticipated electrical spend once i started digging into it... The plus side is that i can run an induction hob, microwave and decent coffee machine when 'wild camping' also have a 250w solar panel in the system...
