Kenwood DMX7722DABS Reverse Signal

Hi All,

I have the Kenwood DMX7722DABS head unit fitted to my 2017 Euro 6 Transporter, I plan on fitting a reversing camera before carpeting. Question is does the head unit pick up a reverse signal from the CAN system or do I need to add a reversing signal to the head unit? I have the CAN adapter fitted to allow me to control the head unit with the steering wheel.

And is there anyway, other than jerry rigging the camera up before fitting to test if the head unit is seeing a reverse signal?

Have you got the camera? A lot have a (sometimes yellow) wire that splices into the reverse light for the trigger.

I have a dmx8021dabs and it does pick up reverse from the can bus adaptor.
