Carplay, parking sensors and reversing camera

Hi all, new here after picking up my LWB 2018 T32 ex-RAC orange machine this week!

Had loads of tips so far from browsing the forum so thank you all.

Looking for advice as I want to retrofit front parking sensors and a reversing camera, and will also be wanting to update the head unit to something with apple carplay. Any advice on which headunit to go for that will show parking sensors and reversing camera on screen, and is also apple carplay compatible?

Ah, and also a question on how/when to go about changing the front bumper to a colour coded one - bets to do it at the same time as fitting the sensors? Are the sensors in the grill only?

Mine same my head unit not working and looking for swap as well, finished clean up of my ex rac stuff and will look into reverse camera and etc with head unit was thinking about halo 9 alpine but not yet as too expensive
Other what i was looking its to replace top mirror as not working and look like it will be wolfbox

I'm having problems with all of the tech mentioned in the thread title, so I thought I'd follow the posting to see if I can get any useful advice to help me out. I don't want to upset Nalgene by appearing to 'hijack' the thread but I would only be posting up a more or less duplicate set of questions.

I'm mainly using Android Auto rather than CarPlay although I have tried CarPlay using my wife's iPhone with the same results, that is the head unit does not recognise the USB connection to the mobile. It has worked a very limited number of times, most of the time it doesn't. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, I had the same problem trying to connect Android Auto in my old Zafira; very hit and mostly miss.

I already have rear parking sensors and camera but when I engage reverse I more often than not get a message saying "the reversing camera is not available". Sometimes the camera view comes on but then cuts out with the error message.

I have the same problem with the DPC, it keeps telling me it is unavailable. When I first drove the campervan home from the conversion workshop the diagram and sensor areas were showing on the head unit when I pulled up at the fuel station to fill up before driving from Coventry to London. The company did a marvellous job fitting out the van but were not very generous putting diesel in the tank! This has stopped working. I've checked and cleaned the sensors but this has not helped The manual mentions a switch on the dashboard but there is no Parking Assist switch on the dashboard.

Apologies if this has been addressed before, but any pointers/advice would be most welcome.

I can't give much advise but I was having issues connecting my phone via USB. Changed the cable to a good quality 'data' cable and I was golden.

Thanks. It's got to be worth a try. May I ask what cable did you get? I just used the shortest one I had.
