Is it right that VW don't know if any updates are available for your van unless you drop it off to them to test ?

I've heard on here that there is now a software fix for the Android auto problems. Rang my dealer thinking they'd either agree or deny it but they're saying I need to bring it in yet again for them to check. Seems it could be yet another waste of my time with no guarantee to update it.

They can usually check from your chassis is anything is required.

Yeah that's what I thought too, seems like they're happy to waste my time.

I asked my dealer about the same issue and they said there was an update. It went in and hey presto AA works a treat.

That's great news that's 2 people now I've heard had it done. I'll have to just get it booked in

I was going to ring them today to check... Let's see if I get an answer, it's about a 150mile round trip so would rather avoid it.

Booked mine in for the 4th Jan but they still can't say whether an update is available even using my chassis number . Let's hope I'm not wasting my time again.
