Insurance and reg

I have ordered my new t6.1 kombi but obs still waiting for delivery! But insurance is looming and am looking for some advice on where and expected costs. It is a standard 150bph. I am not sure where to start! I assume its pretty easy as you all have done it! I do not want it classed as commercial but is that what happens or do they come as pesronal vehicle! All advice gladly accepte,

As far as I’m aware it’s a commercial vehicle (van) unless it’s a motor caravan. The vehicle category ‘N1’, see V5 document doesn’t change.
If it was registered as ‘M1’ then things maybe different, possibly a Shuttle.

I think a Kombi is classed as 'Dual Purpose' on V5 and that's what the insurance will use to assess.

Is more important that your stated use is correct i.e social, domestic & pleasure or SDP and commuting or business.

Why don't you get quotes on a comparison site for a similar van using the reg number from an autotrader add? There are way too many variables to get any tangible answers from random people on the Internet.

Lots of threads on the forum re insurance. Mine is with A Plan. Found them really reasonable and didn’t sound surprised on the phone when I asked to list modifications made.
