Inspection Frequency

Hi,

I've read this thread here but still have a query - T6 Service Intervals & Inspection, Flexible & Longlife

I got a service done last year (cant remember exactly when but reckon im over 12 months now) and they done the oil change etc. Since then I have done very little miles and the camper has been in my garage (lockdown, moving house etc). I started the van tonight and the "inspection" light is on from startup and stays on when running.

Am I due another service already?? Is it every 12 months? When I read other threads it talks about a 24 month cycle.

Also - since I've done less than 1000 miles since the last oil change is this actually required?

Two different things: Inspection service and Oil change.

• First inspection at 24 months, then every 12 months.
• Oil change (flexible regime) min 20000 km (12500 miles), max 40000 km (25000 miles), however maximum two years.

Ah ok so it must be an inspection then. Does the dash say something different when it’s an oil change then? I thought it said “inspection” when they done the oil change

I bought my 2016 T6 in April last year with 4k miles on the clock and it needed a service which I had done at my local VW dealer. It's now ~ 11 months later, has done 11k miles in total and is showing "service required in 20 days." Just seems a bit 'often' when compared to my recent cars...

Had van now 7month 8000 miles on clock and inspection due now flashing up on dash. That can't be right can it?

Thanks for the info. My camper is built from a start line so all I get is “inspection”. I found my service book and confirmed that the last service was 18 months ago (oil change) and I’ve only done 2k miles since so hopefully a slightly cheaper inspection this time around. I’ll get it booked in
