Ikea bed an option for T5 Shuttle?

Hi everyone, new member here :)

I have a question - I'm on a tight budget, so not doing a full conversion, just a 'camper lite' with a bed. I'm keen on a full width bed for when my partner travels with me.

Properly fitted beds can be expensive but what's weird is how expensive the cushions/mattresses are, in some shops they cost more than the actual bed. It doesn't match up. I've been scouring around for more budget friendly options and found this sliding bed from Ikea: GLAMBERGET extendable bed with storage, pine, Standard Single/Standard Double - IKEA UK

It looks like you can slide it out as far as you want, so you aren't stuck between a single (too small) or a full double (too big), which is great. Has anyone has experience with this bed?

My concern is it may not rise above the wheel arches, and I can't find the measurements for these online. Attaching a pic of the bed measurements.

Width-wise, it looks like you can fit a small double (120cm) into the back of a Transporter? Mine's a SWB 2008 Shuttle (I just got screwed with £771 tax, hellish, hence why I can't afford a proper bed).

Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks!

P.s. I'm selling all 6 of the backseats and 4 new van tyres if anyones interested (I'm in Isle of Mull - can be difficult but Oban is an option). I just fitted all terrain tyres given where I am...

I have a heater box one side (like the shuttle) and open arch on the other

The Hammarn does fit but only one way around. We found it a bit uncomfortable TBH even with a 10cm Inofia mattress. It felt like we were rolling into the middle. I had removed one of the cross tubes to get it in (as suggested on here) and wonder if this had affected the structure?

This winter I’m building a bed platform out of CLS and ply which can be disassembled for storage. We need to have 6 seats occasionally so cannot go full camper! I want to keep the cost of the bed platform to a minimum as it could be throw away at some point.

Thanks both for replying. Yes it looks like that Ikea one (both of them, actually) is going to be a stretch, and they don't look cosy! I found a cheaper version on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0C28PDFZ3/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A27JMYAV17VOL1&th=1) that actually looks pretty good, but the wheel arches are still the problem. Another solution could be to box up the arches so that when the bed is extended, the boxed arches are just a shelf next to the bed, or simply just deal with whatever gap is left, boxed or unboxed. Most of the time it'll just be me using it so they bed won't need to be fully extended all the time.

I'm sort of in the same position with not going full camper, though I'm taking all back seats out (just me and my dog most of the time!). Hope the bed build goes well!
