How much does an injector cost for T6

So I’m currently broke down in Europe and been told all four injectors are broke (but still trying to find cause). Firstly is it possible all four can break? Secondly how much does an injector cost as they are saying €605 per injector plus fitting x4 plus what ever else is the actual issue which I’m still waiting to be told.

It just so happens there is a dealer quote which includes injectors in this thread: AdBlue Discussion and Issues

As for your question on whether 4 can go at once I have no idea. It doesn’t sound likely unless there has been some contamination in the fuel system, and if all 4 injectors have gone then there must have been something bad enough in the system that I would expect other damage as well.

They vary according to manufacturer and supplier but Autodoc is listing Bosch injectors for 243 quid inc VAT (each).
If all four injectors are ‘broke‘ there is a good chance the HP Fuel Pump has failed, as Broadside has already said contamination may be the cause.

Injector3 is special and has a incylinder pressure sensor in....so is more expensive.

1,2,4 are standard.

Injectors don't normally break.... unless the HPFP has failed causing metal fillings to contaminate the fuel system....... which is a massive, expensive job....

Replacement injectors need coding to the ECU.

Just been told they would need another week or more to find the full cause, but up to now saying €2400 for 4 injectors plus labour and any other parts needed once they know the full issue. Already been sat here a week and a half waiting for an answer,. Debating if I should tell my breakdown recover to tow it back to the UK for getting it repaired there or not rather than sitting here for another week or who knows how much longer waiting.

If I could, I would prefer it back in the UK. At least you`re home and there may not be the translation problems of relaying the issue. As mentioned, I would agree that an ingress of metallic particles has done in the 4 injectors but what caused it? Has it ever been mis-fuelled?

That is not good at all. Any decisions you make now might be influenced by the fact you're stranded abroad, I'd remove that factor and head home where you'd have more time and be more comfortable getting things sorted. Good luck.

this company seem to have a good rep feather diesel Halifax might be worth a call 01422 387800 would want repair over here good luck

I`ve been to Feathers a couple of times with Mercedes trucks to get fuelling altered when they changed the max speed limit on them years ago. very good!

Hi new to the forum as I am awaiting delivery of my new camper. Both Delphi and Bosch have a aftermarket network in the uk that would be able to remove injector and pump, if required, then rebuild to OE spec. They can also code repaired injector to ECU. Where abouts are you based?Check out the aftermarket section on the manufactures web site.

So I’ve been doing some calls back to VW in Uk, my warranty is 3 years in uk and 2 years in Europe (so I’m still covered in Uk as 58 plate) so I’m now trying to get my breakdown people to agree to repatriate me and my van back to the UK. Although my breakdown are saying if the repair estimate date is before my return date they won’t pay for this. Although the gargage have only said to me they need a week or more to determine what’s actually up With it, I now need them to tell the recovery people after the 31st so I can get it towed back for free and get them to pay for a flight. Worst case might have to pay for this myself and get it fixed in UK for free.

also on a side note the VW engineer I spoke to said it would be very unlikely all 4 injectors would have broke.

Yeah translation has been an issue all through this, got took to one garage first and then to VW after 3 days of sitting in my van at the first garage (although they do speak broken English at VW Spain Still struggling for any actual proper answers a week later). I’m trying to sort out getting the van and me back to the Uk as per my post above.

I’m pretty certain wasn’t mis fuelled, I doubt I’d have got through 4/5th of the tank even if it had been. But yeah still no answers off them what has caused it. Sounds like something else has broken to cause the damage.

Have the garage checked the pressure up to the common rail, this should be the first check that they do. There is a inlet metering valve on some pumps and if that is faulty then the injectors will not receive enough fuel and flag a fault. Does anybody know what make the injectors are.

They told me they sent the 4 injectors off to one of their other garages Last week to be tested in a specialist machine, and then just said this week all 4 have failed. And that’s as much as I’ve been told so far off them.

From your other post on 11 October ‘engine juddering’ it seems like you carried on driving. If there was one damaged injector at that point it may have been drivable but a fair chance of fuel dilution of the sump oil. Oil level check to see if raised and precautionary oil / filter change perhaps.
