Hi want to install a cruise control on a T6 Kombi Eu6, and buyed in a vw local dealer a stack with cruise control buttons and multifunction display buttons. I have a stearing wheel with radio and multi function display buttons to.
The dealer give me a guide for install that its the same that vw t5.1 but, all connectors and wiring to BCM are the same but the last point for connect to ECU is different, maybe EU6 model?, the T10 black connector is not the same in my van, but the cable included its for Vwt6 the end terminal is bigger that vw t5 cable and maybe i installed in wrong place, there is only one place with same size for connector.
when i coded de module 17 adding cruise control, the code its accepted and is activated ok, but when program a module 1 engine, in byte 5 receive error 31, maybe by the cable is not in correct side in ECU and not receives signal.
Anyone can tell me wich is the correct ping on ECU or connector to put a black/yellow cable?
in the connector there is a cable installed from oem with same color black/yellow and same size connector pin, maybe its the same that is preinstalled for control with MFSW?

Taken a pictures for view connector

This is a unique connector black with a connection space for a pin black/yellow

Other problem is the MFSW only works left , the right is not working for multi function display because the stack have a trim buttons for control multifunction display onboard computer, can works two? the steering wheels buttons and stack? can be coded?

Many thanks

Can you post a picture of your steering wheel and the stalk you have been supplied, dealers often supply aftermarket stalks so would be good to see what unit you have
The connection on ECU is T10 pin 1 which should then go onto the T94 connection on the ECU

Hi Pauly, thanks for quick reply!!!
my T10 connector is not the same that manual have you seen pictures? on t6 eu6 its different think
this is the steering wheel and stacks

The stack is with trimp buttons, maybe can remove the 3 cables on stack and disable stack buttons...

Thanks

That looks like the wrong stalk, as you already have MFSW (assuming its factory fit) controlling MFD then you want the stalk with cruise on left but NO MFD buttons on the right ?
Im not sure what the van will make of these duplicated buttons but i dont think it will like it !

yes its incorrect stalk, but think can be disabled the cables form the buttons for non operation, and work a MFSW
in few days replace a stalk for a non buttons on left.
My mistake its where is connected a black/yellow cable to E-BOX or ECU????
the error 31 on vcds code its by cable error think

Now in standby

Thanks

Hi finally have installed a black/yellow cable in T10 connector, there was the last connector on connector's block.

IMG_8144.JPG IMG_8143.JPGInserted on pin1 think is this connector there are only two connectos black.

The problem is when codding engine 01 module on byte 5 when activating control cruise module bit 24 returned error codding 31 rejected

This is my engine module

Any idea for codding?

Thanks

Looks like you are using an old version of VCDS, think that version may predate your van, try updating to the latest version and try again

With a latest version cant code anything!!! Rear speakers activated with this version
And module 9 activated cruise control in bcm with no error.

Hi finally works!!
used same version vcds 16.8.3 for code and always error 31 code rejected out of range
revised all stacks button commands with vcds and all buttons are ok, up ,down, on, off
then the power switch are in on position and another time test it and voila!!!! code accepted!!!
disconected and conected and checked and byte 5 are on 24 with ccs activated.
Have tested the van and all are ok control cruise works all functions perfect and any error in autoscan
think that the key is the power switch needs to be on for code.

Many thanks pauly for you support!!!

Did anyone get this resolved, as we're getting the same "Error 31, Code Rejected, Out of Range" using VCDS 18.2 via Hex-NET
Not matter if just the ignition is on or the engine running, same result
Engine Code CXGB / ECU 04L 906 056 KA

Any new informations regarding ECU Coding error while retrofitting CCS ?
I got a ECU with CCS Enabled in Coding, and i tried to disabled it, this coding change is not accepted, too, with same Out of Range error.
I think there might a other "Conditions" that needs to be met to change this coding.
German Shops who sell Kits are speaking about Special Codes that are needed "Freischaltungscode" or "Aktivierungscode" i dont know what the right translation for this is.
Anyone with more knowlage on this point ?
Thanks
Dennis

Activation codes to my knowledge are SwAP functions, Software As a Product, ie features that need to be paid for to activate and require main dealer online activation

Ok, i got the Coding in ECU working.
Strangely with VCDS i can't change coding of a T6 ECU: 04L 906 056 KL HW: 04L 907 445
But with VCP i can.

For some reason my son's cruise control has "disappeared" after a VW visit and they won't reenable as it wasn't an official extra!!
When using VCDS is it a case of:
Module 1 engine > login 11 > entering code 11463 to enable
There's a mention of involving Module 17. What's involved there?
Anything else?

It was a problem with VCDS, we started using Autel & now VCDS has been updated to 20.4.1 it now allows ECU Long Coding on T6 with EU6 engines
