Hello hope someone could help.
I've got a 2015 ex AA t5.1 4 motion that the front oil seals on the transfer case are leaking so i was going to change them. But as the van still has the original drive shafts fitted and its now done 205k i thought i might as well change the drive shaft, stub axle and oil seals all at the same time. As when you jack up each front corner and rotate the wheel, if you imagine it was a clock face they turn from 12 to 2. none of the play is outboard its all between drive shaft and transfer case/gears.
The drive shafts both have part numbers on the 7E0 407 272 AK & 7E0 407 271R. You obviously cant see the stub axle until its removed to measure it. i really wanted to have all the parts ready so it could just be swapped over.
So far i have contacted TPS who have explained they no longer deal with the public only trade.
contacted vw heritage as they seem to have taken over supplying part for vw models that are no longer in production. But on there system there was only the LH stub axle and no RH listed. lh part was a meyle 100 498 0250
contacted meyle and they have said the same only the Lh is on there system.
i did ask both if that meant i needed a second lh part to used on the rh side but they didnt think so.
i did find some exploded drawings on LLL parts but couldn't seem to find the Rh stub axle on there either.
Does anyone have somewhere else they source part numbers from? Ideally i would like to use Meyle parts to replace them with how much genuine drive shafts cost
