Drivers Side Driveshaft/Stub Shaft

Hi All,

I have a 2017 T6 102 (has been mapped) Yesterday while on a duel carriageway I could feel a vibration in the floor and pedals under acceleration. I have read up on this and the general consensus seems to point to driveshaft or stub shaft on the drivers side. I saw on another forum that if I jack up the drivers wheel with the van in gear I shouldn't get anymore than 5 degrees of rotation out of the wheel, would this be a fair test? How much should the wheel turn? Should it be very little? I feel like I have too much.

One other thing the van is very low on solow low Coilovers.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers Lee

Hi Lee.
It would be good to look at the joint itself where the two parts connect (follow the driveshaft out the back of the hub to the connection).
Chances are there will be a lot of rust build up coming out of the two parts.
If you can have someone rotate the wheel as you inspect, you’ll be able to see one part move whilst the other stays still etc.
The items are spline drive, and generally a tight fit.
