Help with alarm going off when we’re inside. Is there a way to disable permanently ?

Cheers Bav, I shall test this out  Would a double press on the key fob work the same? I don't have a drivers swivel seat and I have to perform a few yoga moves to reach the door button sometimes! And I've also got a lock button on the drivers side pillar. Does that lock everything?
If you want to test any of this out for peace of mind you can open all the windows and hit the lock button then reach out and try and open doors (obviously not the rear doors/tailgate) and you should find everything locked from the outside but openable with the internal handles

As a solo female camper my main priority is to have all the doors locked. Seems like the door button is the best option. I'll just have to hope that my hips don't give out any time soon! :D
Just do 2 blips on the fob lock button. This locks all openings and disables the internal sensor. Remember to press the unlock in the morning and you have to open an opening quite soon after pressing or else it locks itself again. Mines a t6.1 and has been tried and tested from the outside....simple.

Your comment re using the fob to unlock the doors in the morning implies that the doors will be deadlocked. If that's the case, then it's not a method I'd recommend for anyone sleeping in the van.

Why wouldnt you recommend it?
Difficult to escape in the event of a SHTF situation.

I don't lock mine when I'm kipping. You're most likely to be a victim of violent crime during the day and if you're a male - perception is at complete odds with reality.

In any case, I look very like my avatar picture (Sasquatch was my nickname in the Army due to my size) so hopefully anyone casing the joint (see, I know all the terminology) will think twice.

The side doors just open with the internal handles...hence the alarm goes off if you don't press the unlock on the fob.

You've just clarified that it isn't the case, so my objection doesn't apply.

I think I just need to get my own pet Sasquatch 😊

We always stay on camping grounds but we've never ever felt the need to lock the doors when we're inside but... reading this thread this almost starts to feel silly.

I seem to recall there is an option in the infotainment menu to switch off the interior sensors? (leaving the doors, tilt, shake etc. operational)

I took a pic of the menu option I mentioned in my post above. Not sure about the wording from the English menus but I'll translate from Dutch. From the main menu > 'car/vehicle' (I guess) and then the menu 'settings open & close' (I guess). The bottom option is a tickbox to switch the interior sensors off. We use this if on camping trips longer than a day or two.

That might be just the type someone creeping round campsites is looking to meet

I realise now my night-time locking up procedure is overly complex… I shuffle around the van pressing the lock button on each individual door. Still, sitting is the new smoking, so I’m sticking with this unnecessary exercise.

I'm not sure if the UK vehicles are different (or model dependant) but I have an option (2022 T6.1) to turn off interior monitoring on the MMI:

This works when inside the van overnight, and still being able to lock the doors etc.
