Help with alarm going off when we’re inside. Is there a way to disable permanently ?

We parked up last night but every time we move inside the van alarm went off. We found a bit in the manual about temporarily switching that function off. Is there a way to make this permanent ? We want to lock the van when we are in but not if it’s going to waken everyone else for miles around every time we move. We have a 2022 t6.1 thanks in advance

I believe that just locks the van without the deadlocks. The button on the Bi pillar disables the internal sensors.
Which is fine...if you have the button on the B pillar, which I don't (and I do have the alarm, complete with interior sensors.)

When inside, lock it via the drivers door switch, not the fob.
Yes correct. I’ve just checked my T6.1 manual. (Page 77) and this method will, and I quote “NOT activate the anti theft system”. If you want to turn the sensors off when locking from the outside, you have to go thru the infotainment system and temporarily turn off interior monitoring’. Bit of a pain on T6.1 especially when I leave the dog in van whilst paying for Diesel.

I have never locked the vehicle T6 Caravel Exec 4Motion when inside but it is interesting to read how to, by the switch. Any idea how to lock without the alarms for when travelling on the ferries etc Nearly every other vehicle on the vehicle deck blasts away.

My Caravelle has key hole in the passenger side door handle.
What happens if I lock the vehicle using this method?

We just press the remote fob lock switch twice. (6.1) It disables the internal sensors, but locks doors, it’s what I do if leaving the poptop up while we’re out, or parking on a ferry.
I’ve had to make a laminated sign to hang on the sliding door to remind me to turn the alarm off before opening door in the mornings..

Just the normal lock/unlock control on top of drivers door ? Next to the side mirror control ?
When all the doors are locked from the inside just open the sliding door from inside all the other doors stay locked and if you need that locked after just push the slidey thing that popped up when you opened it back down
If you want the rest open in the morning open as normal on the fob

How can the alarm be disabled on a car ferry and still keep the car locked when expected to leave the vehicle unatended?
