Headlight replacement

I need to replace my NS headlight, some Pheasant thought he was hard and wanted to break it.
Does anyone know if you have to remove the bumper to replace it?

Yes, unfortunately you do
There are four fixings two on top that are visible and two on the front, one of these is to the side of the headlight behind the main grille and the other is underneath behind the bumper
Will see if i can dig out a photo

Whats involved to remove the bumper, Is there a workshop manual download anywhere?

No manual I'm afraid
Two screws either side underneath bumper
Plastic rivot inside wheel arch liners each side
Four fixings across top of grille
Double plastic clip on reverse of grille under VW badge

Here you go. note that one of the headlight type does not need the bumper cover removed completely..
