im sure a read it on facebook but cant find it now, it was an aftermarket company that had done something to the harness to make the lights better,sorry for being a bit vaugue
Nah, forget it. All this will achieve is shortening the life of the bulbs. This is a fix that was relevant on older T4s where the wiring was quite poor resulting in low voltage at the bulbs. We just don't see this problem an newer vans.
On the T4 the problem was the poor wiring harness, but VW realised it was too easy for people to upgrade this and get reasonable lights.
So with the T6 they decided to design the worst possible reflector which actually just absorbs all the light.
I can imagine a group of VW engineers sitting around a table discussing "how can we make our lights so bad that people actually think they are turned off"
