Why do I have two different headlight plugs?

Hi, I need help!

I’m rebuilding a crash damaged T6 and the headlight harness has a 14pin plug for the offside headlight and a 10pin plug for the nearside? Both headlights, which I bought from a breakers have 10pin connectors.

The headlights have the same part number as the originals which were damaged.

That's right. You'll have a separate plug for the OS headlight. The 14 pin plug goes to the plug by the horn and then 10 pin is for the NS headlight

Thank you very much, I’ve got it all working now!

I put the O/S headlight plug into the 14pin connector near the horn a while back (obviously not fully as they wouldn’t connect). As they were close I thought they went together.

One short message has made it all clear.
