I’m looking for a bit of guidance from the collective, does anyone have a direct fill gaslow cylinder (as opposed to a permanently plumbed in set up with exterior filler) and if so do you have any problems filling it at filling stations?

I am fed up with the cost of calor cylinders and think I will invest in a gaslow cylinder but have convinced myself that garages wont let me fill it..

Thanks in advance.

john.

I think I may have put this in the wrong area, mods feel free to move if appropriate..

I have the gasit kit under the van with the fill point and bbq take off below the passengers side rear bumper. very neat and easy to fit as opposed to refillable cylinders previously used. no issues with filling and its very economical too

Hmm, I might need to look into this further, I don’t suppose you could post a couple of pictures of the fill and bbq point?

also did you have refillable cylinders previously and if so did you have any problems filling them as I want something I can use for the house bbq..

image.jpeg Apologies, gastore unit. I previously had a refillable cylinder inside the van which I didn't like for possible h&s reasonsimage.jpeg

This is my setup. I've only filled once at a Morrisons garage in Littlehampton. Had no problems apart from the cashier being shocked it was less than £5. Be aware that shell are phasing out lpg pumps.

Any updates on this Keith. Would be great to gt your experiences; you've been using it a few years now. I want to replace my camping gaz 907.

Is that the filler connector on top of cylinder. Is that from gasflow or someone else.

I've had no problems with it. Only filled up a couple of times as we tend to use camping Gaz outside with a ridge monkey BBQ grill in France/Spain and haven't holidayed so much here in the cold!
That is the filler as supplied - a bit of a squeeze with the pump connecter but it does fit.
