Front Door (Soft Close/Power Latching) Retrofit

I have power latching on the side door & tailgate. The side door is fine, the tailgate is a PITA, it’s just failed again. IMO having it on the tailgate adds little to the functionality & is just another failure point. I wouldn’t have it again.

I would beg to differ.

On my caravelle, it always took 2 attempts to close the tailgate. Drove me mad. However on the new on i have power latching an its ace.

Well, my power latching tailgate won’t “latch” no matter how many times I try it. The latching servo has failed for the second time. It’s booked in again in a fortnight (corona permitting) for another looking at.

Time for my bench test before the installation
With my right hand I am simulating door opened/closed signal
and with my left hand door locking mechanism getting in contact with the door catch

Yes it will fit.
This kit is actually direct fit for all T5, T5.1, T6 & T6.1.
Also it could be installed on any other VAG vehicle with same shape/type of door locking mechanism.

Snap, I am interested in this kit too. Never had it on any of my cars so the van has to have it.
