Front badge + backing replacement.

Hi all, relative newby here. Love my T6 particularly for getting changed in after a cold water swim - heater switched on, exit van, swim, return to toasty warm changing room = bliss.
However, some low life has decided to pinch my chrome front badge I have bought a matt black one and aim to super glue it on but what do I need to put behind it as I can see through the VW badge. Is there a backing plate I should have bought? If so, where do I get one from?

There is a backing plate. You'll be able to pick one up from a dealer for a couple of pounds. Part number is 7E0 853 719
