Fitting an electric tailgate?

Hi everyone
I’ve just bought an electric tailgate to replace my barn doors but have been told that I won’t be able to get it working due to my van not having a module or something?
Van is a t6 highline dsg if that’s makes any difference,
If anyone can give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated

Retrofitting powered Tailgate???

Hi all, So is this possible? I assume it must require power struts, power latching and wiring but has this been investigated to date? I did a loose search but couldn't see anything other than the power latching thread for easier closure... Thanks in advance:cool:
