As your car is a MQB platform you'll need a dealer or "specialist" to activate a FeC/SWaP code in order to enabled MKE(DFD) on your new gateway.

Big thanks from me, I coded this in to my T5.1 Caravelle today
I am using a T6 BCM (7E0 937 090 B) and T5.1 colour instruments (7E0 920 980 G)

All that was required was a change in coding per Robert's instructions (address 19 Byte2 Bit2 and address 09 Byte25 Bit2) - adaptations were already set for me and no XML upload with VCP required, I suspect the T6 BCM must have been already configured for fatigue detection from the vehicle it came from
