Engine start up problem

Hi all,
My T6 stop/start at start up seems a bit hit & miss. I'm fairly new to the van. On a few occasions the engine hasn't start & comes up with a message saying refer to service book? After a few attempts the engine starts. Has anyone had a similar problem? Or any ideas are appreciated

the stop/start is a very complex system.

stop start will only activate if the battery is fully charged, there are no large electrical loads (ie heated seats) or AC running. etc etc etc.

once active (stopped) it wont restart if, not in drive, door opened, seatbelt unclipped. etc etc etc.

so keep a close eye on the situation, surrounding and exactly what happened when it failed to restart, you should be able to work out whats what.
