Recently I have noticed I can remove the key in my T6 when it is not in PARK.
It definatley hasn't always done this.
Has anyone fixed this themselves? Or know where to look for the potential fault?
I still have to press the brake to get out of PARK when the van is running.
Thanks

There's a sensor that detects the gearbox is in Park - sounds like yours is faulty.

The key hold solinoid in the barrel faulty?

You need to plug the van into a scanner and check a few things.

Does the PRND show on the dash ok.

Does the van register the key in/out ok?

Sticky lock? - try some wd40 in there.

Possibly.
Although if I'm in park, I cannot get it out of park without with putting my foot on the brake. So that bit seems to work.

Will try that. If I'm in park, I cannot get it out of park without with putting my foot on the brake. So that bit seems to work.
Everything else is perfect.
No fault codes logged either using obdeleven.

That probably uses a different sensor - one that monitors the brake pedal position.
