DPF Removal?

Evenin all, I've finally surfaced from the latest winter illness doing the rounds, so I thought I'd ask people about removing the DPF from my T6.1.

Does anyone have any advice on the subject? From what I'm reading, this item does little for anyone apart from maybe VW who get to sell some extra parts after a failure.

Any pictures of removal of the item and advice would be gratefully received!

Can't be done on a T6.1 yet as ECU cannot be accessed for the appropriate file work to be done. Unless it's an EU 6 engine on a very early T6.1 running the Delphi ECU in which case it's a different story. DPF would need fitting and a map file creating and installing

And remembering, it is illegal. (to drive on a public UK road without one, if the van was made with one)

Owners face fines if caught (up to £1,000 for cars and £2,500 for vans) and removing a DPF can also invalidate your insurance policy and be a MOT failure.

as it forms part of the "Emissions control system".
