DPF regen

First run out with an eye on the app...it did a regen at 15 odd grams soot measured (calculated was around 25g). Also noted the reading for ash residue seems pretty high at 67g. My van is 4.5 years old and has done 115k miles..I've read the tolerance is about 110g so some headroom yet, but wondered what readings others have on different ages/ miles?
2020 6.1 with 33k miles Ash residue at 20.5g, another page from the destruction manual...

Ok, so mine did actually show as doing a regen today. App showed -51% and then stopped at -20%. Seems to be a very narrow window, when it only goes up that far but then doesn’t run anywhere near to 0%.

Slight hijack - Is there an Oil Ash Residue level at which some thought should be given to a DPF clean? I'm on 125,000 miles at 72.86g/66%. I'd like to keep on top of things before they deteriorate.

I bought the V-gate BLE 4 OBD connector for iOS and just did a quick test with the Car Scanner ELM OBD2 – The best car OBD2 diagnostic solution for iOS and Android in your pocket! app

I just did a quick check to make sure it was working OK. and measured soot level and distance since last regen.
Showing soot level at around 22g and distance since last regen at around 2400Km !
While the soot level is OK I am pretty sure it has done a number of regens in the last 2000km so Will double check with VCDS.

Also need to see if it will work via carplay - something for another day.

I monitored live soot levels yesterday whilst on a motorway drive. Soot got up to around 30g before commencing a regen which took approximately 17 minutes to complete and then dropped down to around 8g. Handy to know that when the soot levels are approaching 30g I need to take the van for a 20 minute drive for a successful regen.

If the app I am using isn't reporting correctly I will get DPF Monitor for VAG (the Apple version of your Android app)

Has anyone got VAGDPF to auto connect to the bluetooth adapter, so i can bring it up automatically in Android Auto? At the moment i need to open the app manually and connect it with my phone beforehand which is annoying.

I need to press the Connect button on the App on my phone before it displays on the van screen.
I watched a whole regen take place last week! How exciting!

Yeah same, i wonder if it can be automated with a tasker app or something. I also need to adjust the 100% amount in the settings, as mine seems to regen when it hits around 130%

Yes, mine was 139% before the icons turned red.

There is an adjustment in the settings, can be set between 0-100 i think, but not worked out how that relates to the %, i think it goes off the soot amount

I must have a look. My soot was just over 30g when the regen kicked in, ended up on 7.39g.
