DPF regen

Just ordered an EVO of Carista site. £32.49….with discount code WELCOME 15…£27.62 inc free delivery.

I'm hoping my expensive £7.49 paid version will be perfect! New Carista Evo arrived today, playtime tomorrow with them both. What could spoil my fun?!!

Very happy with full fat vag dpf app. Phone screen stays on, just sussed it talking to the dash screen, all good.
New Clarissa Evo installed and functioning as it should.
Happy camper!

I'm also set up with the evo + app. Looking good also, but mine has two readings for soot levels (below)..'soot mass calc' top left but also 'soot mass measured' (third row on right). The values are very different so wondering which is my guide for avoiding a clogged DPF. I'm set as engine group 15 on the app and vehicle is T6.1 5 speed manual.

Not too sure...have you definately got the correct engine group? The first couple i tried only gave 2 - 3 reads...done my own reading on the two values...calc is what the Ecu estimates which can vary alot depending on where/when driving. Due to my ratio of city driving I've done nearly 400 mins, but only 100km in the 10 days since my last run out, where it did a regen...which hopefully explains the disparity rather that sensor issues. I have an hours motorway drive tomorrow so I'll be interested to che k readings after...useful tool!

Engine code from the sticker in my service book and also on the belt cover on LHS of the block. My reading matches Carista and I would expect a regen normally at 29g of soot.
Someone with installed cleverness will add info soon, I'm sure....

I don't suppose anyone has tried one of these?

I quite like the idea of having a separate device permanently mounted on the dash, and was considering building one, but this looks like it would work quite nicely?
I would probably want to mount the device inset into the dash if I can and hard wire the usb power to an ignition on supply etc.

Can you not already do all this on an old phone ?
It could be done using a phone and a suitable app (and even run via carplay), but that would require the phone to be connected and app loaded each time the van was used. It is an option though.
The SDPROG option essentially just adds another permanent display with additional information - like the old days when we added 3 or 4 VDO gauges to our car to measure temp, oil pressure, voltage etc.

First run out with an eye on the app...it did a regen at 15 odd grams soot measured (calculated was around 25g). Also noted the reading for ash residue seems pretty high at 67g. My van is 4.5 years old and has done 115k miles..I've read the tolerance is about 110g so some headroom yet, but wondered what readings others have on different ages/ miles?

I only had the lite version this morning and no idea what it was telling me. Just wanted to make sure it worked before buying the full app. Will check again later on my way home.

From the lite version

Looks like it regenned after you left work and before you got home, I think! 29g of soot and 97% is an indicator of regen about to start, after regen mine goes to around 8g of soot. Not quite sure where soot mass measured comes in to play, minus 5.82? Eh?!
I hate it when I feel I have to read instructions, but that 'measured' and 'calculated' was bugging me...

Ok, so arrived home this afternoon with my fan running loudly after engine shut off. Quick check in f this new App shows the following snapshot but doesn’t show a regen having taken place:

Can I assume that it just didn’t finish? This is a snaoshot I happened to take last Friday in comparison:

Soot mass appears to have dropped though.
