Does this look normal? I think I’ve got a blockage (Don’t panic, it’s a window)

Fear not, this is not a medical post but is related to my pesky sliding window leak. A topic done to death I know. I’ve had a good look round the forum and I’m pretty sure this isn’t right.. but would appreciate confirmation. I’ve poked a cable tie down the front drain hole slot and shown in the photo how far down I can get it… so not all the way down so it comes out of the bottom (ooh er)… does this mean I have a blockage?

It looks like the cable tie is much too thick for the very narrow slot.
Also you will need to clear the rear slot and the circular hole at the front. Hope this helps.

should go all the way though, just watch if poke something more solid down there it doesnt come out the bottom and scratch the paint.

i found sharpened radio keys worked well

Thanks mate. I can’t see the rear one do I need to remove the top of the black plastic trim to get to it?

no but you might need to take the slider out if you cant see it, do a search on here for leaky windows there is a good guide
