DODO Mat DEADN DUO under the cab floor?

Hi - does anyone know if you can put the Deadn Duo Mat (6.8mm) under the cab floor without it causing any issues with raised height?

Yea, I used the Dodo Mat Deadn Duo (the names are ridiculous). It did add some height, of course, but I had no trouble re-fitting the rubber floor, side steps or seats. The floor feels softer, which is to be expected but I don’t notice the difference day to day.

I had quite a bit left over.

I also did the steps, both rear lower sections (over the arches) and one upper rear section (I put a window on the other side). Hope that makes sense from the photo below.

I’m installing the 4.5mm version today, any advice?

I’ve been advised by DoDo support not to use a roller with this and just to push it down with my fingers etc.

Also I’m looking to go completely across, cover everything, not leave any gaps, Yet I can see in the photo that you didn’t go under the cables? Was that advice you were given ?

I’ve had to strip back some rusty bits and put hammeright on. Once that’s dry I’m on the the Prep Spray..

How did you go with the prep work, wash, prep spray (degreaser) and then down with the matting ?

I used some leftover degreaser from when the carpet liner went in - but white spirit works just as well on metal. Honestly can't remember about the centre bit. I did go all the way up in the footwells though

What started out as a plan to replace the 1+2 Standard Seating set up, it soon escalated into a clear out and clear up that’s making me look at it all (in for a penny, in for hopefully max a grand !)

Quick bit of background - I pick up a converted 2018 T6 LWB just before Xmas and other than changing the stock steering wheel, adding a new stereo, then a comfort dash, and a dash cam - I’ve not ventured to far into peeling things back - until now..

I’m going to start by taking everything up not only to clean, and understand a bit more about all the electric wiring underneath - but what...

Have to admit, not fully sure.

That said, by far the coldest surface in the back of the van in cold temperatures is my floor - which has no insulation, but I wish it did.

We have 2 of those foam/rubber camping mats on the floor under our feet if we are out in the winter just to take the edge off the cold .
Otherwise despite insulating the floor it's still like ice
