Decal stripe removal

Hi guys I have this decal stripe on the van and wanting rid of it
What's the best way to remove? Was told a few ways

Cold removal - will not leave any residue
Warmed with heat gun - will leave a residue and that will need removed

Anyone had this done or has done it themselves?

Is a toffee wheel one of those rubber wheels you put on a polisher or grinder?

That’s the one. Generally used in a cordless drill at low speed to avoid burning.

Alternatively you could warm the stripe and remove it then use a cloth and wd40 or pledge spray polish to wipe off the adhesive Both do an effective job. Wonder wipes in the big red tubs do a good job too.

Apply a little bit of heat and take it off carefully. Isopropyl will probably sort out any residue and a go over the area with TCut to sort out any imperfections left in the paintwork.

Just don't go mad with the heat , you only wanna gently soften up the glue .

Plastic scraper,

Also any ideas how much it would be to have my red roof sprayed black?
Just an average rough cost?
