500 mile round trip was such an epic road trip. And a game of two halves. Drive there was normal. Drive home was exhilarating as if I was driving an electric car. Acceleration power curve really caught me by surprise and I love it. Along with the stark improvement in miles per gallon improvement. I wish I had visited Dav-Tec sooner. They also found I need a new MAF sensor and this stopped the DPF issues that was causing the EML to come on.
Chris who owns Dav-Tec is a really clever and friendly guy. The team I met also were really engaging. Ian and Ian’s Son Alfie who is an inspiring apprentice learning from two talented professionals.
I looked at all kinds of local tuners offering similar services. But reputation is key for me. I would recommend anyone to get in touch with Chris and take your van there. The difference in my van that I had had from being a year old is exponential. It is night and day by comparison. Especially considering the payload that made my van sluggish once converted into a camper.
Lovely local walk too from there along the canal path into Chesterfield. But there is also a nice waiting room there too.
Van is T6 2018 102 5-speed. Now remapped nearer to 170.
