Data roaming options for Switzerland

Hello all,

We have a road trip planned this summer including 5 days in Interlaken, Switzerland. Our smartphone data plans do not include roaming for this country and out of plan data and calls are very expensive.

We have two children, one who is a teenager, so data will critical!!

I’m keen to hear what others have done regarding data and call plans when visiting Switzerland - especially regarding purchasing either a local eSIM or buying a bolt on data plan.

FYI we are on Id mobile.

I buy in advance. With the esims from Trip.com you have 90 days in which to activate, before 90 days you can cancel the booking for a refund. Here are some other sites which may be of use to you.

Oh crikey - yes, you are right. Sorry about that.
Remember we had to buy the addon pack for Switzerland. It all comes back to me now.
To be honest, the roaming costs will be the cheapest part of your trip through Switzerland I thought I got the exchange rate wrong while I was there. I didn't!
