CXEC 199ps Biturbo failure

OMG this sounds horrible. You can do an EGR and DPF delete, but you are right (in the UK) it is against the law to fiddle with emmision stuff, but people do it. Sometimes people hide the fact and sometimes not. This is all reversible and I feel needs to be with genuine parts and/or a very good specialist garage. Because ultimately I would need to know is the base engine good?

I have an older 180 Bi-TDI. When I got it the engine was sh##ed. I coaxed it on for a year whilst saving for a new VW crate engine and Turbo's. In the meantime I did a million oil changes, deleted the EGR (blocked and mapped out) and fitted a new DPF, then did the engine. I think key was finding an amazing specialist (Retro Resus). 12k in and its a blast. Find your specialist ready for when you start trying to sort this out.

Thanks to everyone. Needed to get that off my chest.
I need a DPF and there seems to be none in Australia 2nd hand. VW have said 4 to 6 weeks for a new one to arrive on shore and $3300aud.

Can someone point me toward a low klm wrecking for parts or a new one and express it to Sydney next available.

I have the old turbos in my possession are they worth a rebuild and selling or get them rebuilt as hybrid and stick them back on. or is it a garden object?

I am not giving up on this Van!
I like it a lot and love a challenge.
Plus, it is most of actually more than the leftovers of 17% I received in a 6yr long divorce man slapping event after solicitors took most of 30years and I got a van.

Thankyou all again
