My CXEC 199ps bi-turbo engine is not in good shape and need to be replaced. Are there any other TDI engine in the VAG that will be reasonably easy to install that make better power.

I'm not aware of any Tdi engines that you could drop in that make better power, people have put Audi S3 engines in but they're obviously petrol.
Also, the term "reasonably easy" is subjective - the easiest swap would be an identical engine to your current one, anything else can only get more difficult.

Thank you.
I was just dreaming of serious power.
The problem is that I had a Muppet do some work on it for me.
I requested a resonator delete and beleive it or not he thought he do me a favor and remove the dpf.
When he did that he also without doing any testing of the van whacked a custom tune on it and changed the software.
His tune was to turn up the boost to 33psi (yep) and put the fuel up so high it was black soot city and fumes for days and that was it.
I'm very new to all this but what resulted is the turbos seized due to massive heat warping the cast iron and melted the edges of the compressor wheels and the pistons are in bad shape also from the heat created.
turbos have been replaced and the van drives almost in limp mode.
I have it in the courts at the moment. I have reports from 2 top euro workshops and a deisel tuning legend and the old turbos as evidence plus the sms trail of my request for the delete and telling him that it is not to be remapped.
This is what you get when you dont educate yourself and place your trust in someone to do the right thing and not use your lack of knowledge to take your money.
The muppet can't understand at all. And even told the courts that I should be so lucky to have his tune on my van.

If you're going to do it, do it properly and put a EA888 petrol engine in. Yes it will be more expensive and alot of work, but very easy to get to 400bhp.
