How old is the starter battery?

AGM battery life is normally 5years. Your van is 2017. So original battery?

looks like the original 70A MOL battery to me,


might be worth getting it tested.

get your own tester - Amazon.co.uk : 12v battery tester


or take it to Halfords et for a test.

Protyre near you do a free battery check. Just be prepared for them to try and sell you one but there's no obligation.

Thanks all, will try and get booked in for a battery test tomorrow and report back

Mine does the same thing even after a new battery. There's no rhyme or rhythm to when it wants to do it. Be fine for 50 starts then just turns over for a few seconds. Thinking it could be a sticking egr or fuel return valve that's on its way out.

Had a similar issue and after Vw assist had a look… a new control module on glow plug no.3 was replaced under warranty… no issues since
