A few years ago, I had the opportunity to play with a Fisker. (some kind of hybrid futuristic Aston Martin, hence the name (Fisker was AML designer))
The solar roof is a real work of art. do a search on google, just a thumbnail included to wet your curiosity
BTW, it was only to power accessories, no chance to recharge propulsion batteries
(not sure it had any, if i remember right it behaved more like a train: petrol engine driving a generator that powered electric engines)
I wish VW offered a similar roof. that'd be cool
