Carpeting sliding door.

Hi everyone, I’m halfway carpeting the inside of my T6, my question is do I carpet the metal just below the window on my sliding door? I’ve done the panel with invisible clips was just wondering if it’s anyone of you have done.

I left the section longer, granted it doesn’t look as good when the door is open (when it’s hardly noticeable due to the seats) though IMO looks better when closed as the door card isn’t in line with the handle so would look odd if not cut straight.
