Hi everyone
I have a T6.1 I’ve sound proofed the inside but before I carpet the sides I’m going to do the floor, so my question is, at the moment I have a soft rubber floor which is is great condition no tears or rips, so can I put 12mm ply straight on top of the rubber floor or do I have to take up the rubber floor then put the ply on, any answers greatly appreciated.

It does seem to be quite common to just put the ply over the rubber flooring.

Don't take my word for it :slow rofl:

Do a search on here, there is plenty of information.

If your a midget, every mm of headroom counts in a very small van.

I agree with DXX. Sound proofing isn’t an exact science & my experience as I gradually soundproof is that not much sound comes up through the floor. I have 12mm ply under the original kombi floor (to bring the floor up to a caravelle height

Thanks for the reply ThunderRoad, I didn’t realise it was a different height to a Caravelle, was the Konbi a rubber flooring?
