Can you swap the seat bottom foams? heating element stopped working

Hello all,

Can't seem to find an answer to this. My drivers side heated seat has stopped working - found a great thread on how to potentially fix it etc.. but need the van daily so can't really be seatless.

My question is Will the passenger side bottom foam seat base bit fit the drivers seat base? Figured I could swap them over and see if that solves the heated seats for now ( it's getting cold and theres no one on the front seat!) and then fix the base in due course - that's if they just swap and figured someone here might know. Cheers!

Don’t know if it’s the same thread but I’m sure there was a picture of a drivers seat with a big cushion in place of the base while element was being fixed. I’m in the same boat, got a new element, heat gun and am ready to repair

Tbh I might well just leave it alone if I swap them and it works again!

Followed one of the links and finally found one on eBay via the part number. I think it was about £130 so if I can fix the old one I will. Good luck.
