Camping 2026 Season Is Almost Here
....
So what new goodies have we all got.
I must admit I've been busy shopping,.... Mostly over Black Friday deals, in anticipation for this year's season.
I've got a few bits to try out this year,.... And don't forget when around the campfire with the Chief Advisor - everything cost £20.
Let's see,....
I copied @garyp1969 OLPRO Perishore Air Awning.

And also added the extra front panel.
I'll be selling the collection of basically unused other awnings, so keep an eye out.
.....
We copied @czmate1999 Decathlon utility tent, after have at least 5 versions over the years.... Decided to just get a decent one, ....these are great for a multitude of tasks.

...
And added in the van mount bracket and external cover..... I've also got some super magnets to make up a back door mount solution....
Watch this space for the build.

We also decided to add in the twin tent, (@Drive Wayne has one) ... We have the single already and it's awesome..... But felt the twin is possibly more practical?

...
Sticking with joolca I decided to try out the shower base..... Which has been received with mixed opinions from the chief advisor..

Something else i didnt know i needed ( For SWMBO)!My wife is a magnet for all things bitey when we are away (handy for me as they generally ignore me and focus on her). Before we went away to France in July, she bought one of these from Amazon

It's a miniature torture device that heats up to around 60 degrees and claims to provide instant relief from itchy bites. In the first week away, I had a constant "F*** I've been bitten again" followed by an "Arrgh, that hurts" as she zapped her fresh bite with the torture tool.
As we've moved further south in France, I've managed to attract a couple of bites, so I thought I'd give the zapper a try. I'm always a little sceptical with these things, but bloody hell, it actually works as advertised. 6-10 seconds of mildly uncomfortable/painful heat, and the irritation is gone. Highly recommended
Yeh... Those popup ones can be a nightmare...“The twin shower tent is more practical” nudge nudge wink wink ;-)
Re utility tent - whenever we use ours I have to google a video of how to get it back in the bag.![]()
Totally agree……it’s our own fault…we never read the instructions properly….on nearly all pop up stuff it’s a knack of doing this a certain way then twisting….but don’t forget the all important Red tabsYeh... Those popup ones can be a nightmare...
Ask @VanDamMan about his 2 man pop up tent team camperjam last year.
I've got one of them - excellent bit of kit and really does work. My wife reckons it get too hot on the max setting but I'm OK with it which is a good job really as the bitey little b'stards never bother her but absolutely love me.My wife is a magnet for all things bitey when we are away (handy for me as they generally ignore me and focus on her). Is one called Andrew, the other George?
......I'll get my coat
Wrong forum I think?I do love a back door mount solution....

Plenty of room for the odd careless Whisper wrapper blowing around the campsite too....We used a Club Tropicana dog biscuits bin Last Christmas as it's rectangular and fits into corners better than the old pedal bin liners thrown on the floor.
