Hello all

Really appreciate the help I've been getting recently but I have another question.

I've been doing a lot of reading but seem to come across different answers, I'm trying to work out which size cable to use from starter to dcc50s to lithium to fuse and also to earth?

Some say 16mm2 others 25mm2, any electric gurus or people with this setup able to advise?

Thank you very much in advance

It’s a combination of current draw, distance and voltage drop vs cost of cable and whether you can physically fit it through the van and get the wire into whatever it is you are connecting to.
There’s a calculator here.. Voltage Drop Calculator | 12-volt planet
Nominal 14V over 4 metres from starter battery into van and to the seats area in 16mm2 cable is fine.
If you can make the run shorter, even by 50cm then it gets better.
I used 16mm2 Twinflex flexible from altecautomotive for my runs from starter to charger to leisure battery under the passenger seat and from leisure battery to inverter (800W) and I think that will be fine. I actually bought 10m and used it in either its original shotgun configuration or split it for single runs for earths and the like.
4m of twinflex 16mm is £25, 25mm2 is £42.

Thank you both, see it says 60a fuse between starter and charger and then also 75a, stuff gets a bit confusing

If you need a hydraulic cable terminal crimper I have one. I’m in Stockton on Tees.

Yeah,

They just saying use a 75A fuse at the starter battery and a 60A fuse at the leisure battery.
