Hi there I've been put my eyes on a T6 LWB 2016 150hp DSG with 201.000 km (125.000 miles) already converted in a caravan. The seller is the guy of the company that converted the vehicle.
He did all the service before the miles indicated by VW and he's doing the belt, basically, right now. The DPF and EGR have been disabled, but I asked him if he can put it back and he said he can put it back. Any advice on the purchase? thanks a lot

Any evidence of it having had new clutches in its recent history? If not, then that might mean an expensive bill in the near future.

Make sure he uses genuine belts, idlers, water pump, etc, and not Gates rubbish.

Why has he disabled the DPF and EGR? The obvious answer is that he's had problems and couldn't afford to repair it properly. What other faults might have been bodged or hidden instead of being properly repaired? Id personally not go near a vehicle where cost saving has been put ahead of a proper repair - it doesn't speak well for the character of the owner when it comes to effecting proper repairs.
