Sold Budget bed system

I have for sale my first fix bed platform storage unit. This was made with 18mm ply and is screwed together with pockethole screws and bolted to the existing cargo captive nuts.

This is essentially for any new owners that are somewhat bewildered with conversion costs etc. This will see you through til you get your u shape layout or rock and roll setup saved up for.

When the bed is opened out there is room for a portapotti and space to get changed and there is ample storage inside.I've used it a few times now and it works perfectly (the unit, not the portapotti).

I was just looking at this last night. It might be just what we need while we've got a half converted van. And we're not too far from you. Just wanted to check it's in a SWB? Do you know if it will fit behind a row of kombi seats with the front section folded back?

Hi Bob - yes it was in my SWB. It fixes into the floor load lashing points with the cleats removed. If you have a kombi floor mat I think I might have some longer bolts that should reach through.

Not sure about kombi seat placement sorry, but I have the below photo and it looks like there should be space behind the seat footing blanks? I'm not sure what the height of the kombi seat is when folded down either

If it’s the same length as the measurements I used then it will fit behind the kombi seats in a swb with the front flap folded back or removed

If it’s the same height as the measurements I used then it won’t work as a bed with the seats folded flat. I deliberately made the bed lower so I (6’3) could sit on one half of it like a bench.

@Badjamin can confirm what (if any) measurements he followed from mine though.
